The National Association of Municipalities of Mozambique (ANAMM) has promoted, with the support of the UCLG Learning, UCLG-GOLD, the UNDP-Art and GIZ, their first national training of trainers for the localization of the SDG, based on the Modules 1 (awareness raising about the SDG), 2 (local planning of the SDG) and 3 (reporting the SDG), produced with the UN-Habitat, UNDP-Art, the Global Taskforce of Local and Regional Governments and the Provincial Government of Barcelona.

The training had the presence of 53 mayors and representatives of Mozambiquean local governments, and also counted with the experiences of Angola, Brazil and the National Association of Municipalities of Cabo Verde.

This has closed a series of this year's Training of Trainers (ToTs) in Africa, supported by the UCLG-Africa, that has begun in Accra (for the English speaking african local governments), passed through Ouagadougou (French speaking local governments) and has ended the year with the Portuguese speaking african local governments ToT.
