Technical Exchange between Peers - Decentralized Cooperation between Brazil and Mozambique

The peer learning between the technicians of Municipalities of Brazil and Mozambique took place in Nampula, Mozambique, in 26-27 August, 2013. The participants were about 45 of political representatives, expert and delegates of the insitutes including the cities of Lichinga, Inhambane, Dondo, Maputo, Matola, Manhiça and Nampula from Mozambique and the cities of Belo Horizonte, Victoria, Guarulhos, Canoes and Maringa from Brazil.

The main topics discussed involved on three main project subjects: management and participatory budgeting, territorial planning and register. The main purposes of this learning event were a) to understand the scope and results of the projects presented, b) to contribute to the creation of mutual learning network, and c) to share, harmonize and contextualize the different tools of administration managements. It was carried out by the method of presenting and exchanging the cases of the city projects in experience and implementation, and constructing the roadmap for the partnership building.
